Recent study finds gender bias in children's books

A study conducted by American researchers from Florida State University has revealed that children's books are almost twice as likely to have a male lead character than a female one. The study published in the April issue of Gender and Society Journal looked at nearly 6,000 children's books published from 1900 to 2000. Read the full story from The Telegraph.
