Today BBC News reported that Amazon has struck a deal which will see its Kindle owners able to borrow e-books from libraries in the US. The retail giant has teamed up with Overdrive, which is already offering e-book lending to over 10,000 US libraries. This new system will allow library members to download e-book titles from the library website for a three week period, after which the title will be automatically deleted from the user's Kindle software.
